Vox machina rat queens cameo7/14/2023 ![]() ![]() I guess it was just because strange things are happening, they have been gone for a while and we don't know enough. OMG!!! Also, did the story telling just feel a bit off to you. One on the beginning of an arc and two with that big of a cliffhanger. This is a piss poor way to leave a series hanging. but please tell me it isn't so that she killed the real Orc Dave.*sniffles sniffles* *crawls into corner and beginnings to rock back and forth* If I had to take a guess, which is what we will all have to do until the return of this series, is that Orc Dave's *cough* manhood wasn't what she had before and he was sooo different or he didn't have/do something that it tipped her off to the fact that this isn't Orc Dave. WHAT THE HELL IS Violet doing? I mean like I said in #2 it's probably because of those Priest vampire dudes. Even Braga and Tizi mention that you barely even see any of the townsfolk. Seems that the whole group is noticing it. Betty isn't the only one thinking things are different. instead you see what looks like the vampires from the movie Priest. When Betty looks in that direction though you don't see the same individuals. Dee's husband, Kiah, seems to being confronted by at least 2 individuals of the 4 person group standing outside. Seems that the mushrooms are helping Betty see what's really going on. Although it does seem that things aren't what they used to be.Ģ. I feel as though we missed a lot of the story, but I'm glad to see them back at home and getting together with the old gang. I'm a bit sad we didn't get to see the in between times with them on the ship. They could have go anywhere in the world and they decided to come home. Overall, this issue is on par with the rest of the series.ģ. that is to be forever left hanging (though there is apparently an Easter Egg reference to it in one of the volumes in my future). There are some happy and unhappy reunions with the supporting cast, but nothing much happens until a shocking cliffhanger. ![]() It's not much of a story, as most of the main characters return to Palisade shaken from the events of the last volume and ready to party away their bad mood. Since it was decided to exclude this issue from the trade paperbacks and because I'm a completist, I bought a digital copy before reading the fourth book currently on hold for me at the library. Eventually Rat Queens relaunched with a fourth artist and a new #1 issue. So that brought the series to a screeching halt, and during the hiatus it was decided to abandon the storyline that began here. And this is the final issue for the third artist, who left under a cloud of controversy, with her saying she was being pushed out to bring back the first artist despite promises that would never happen, and the writer saying it was for creative differences. Like how the first artist was fired after his arrest for domestic violence, and the second artist left for health reasons. While writing my reviews for the first three volumes of Rat Queens I started to find out a bunch of behind the scenes stuff about the series.
